Install Kiss Using RubyGems

Kiss is available as a Ruby gem. If you have RugyGems installed, you can download and install Kiss by running the command:

sudo gem install kiss

If you don't have RubyGems, click here to get it.

If you don't have Ruby, then go here.

RubyForge Project Page

You can also download the gem file from the Kiss RubyForge project page.

MySQL Recommended

We also recommend that you have MySQL installed and running on your computer. If you have Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard), there are some problems with the default config options for MySQL installation that make the process error-prone and quite confusing. We'll be posting some helpful tips at a future date; in the meantime, try a Google search.

You can also use SQLite, if MySQL is not available.

Create an Application

Now that you have Kiss, let's create your first application.
